Mommy it won’t come out!

Now I am sure all of us mother’s have heard this come out of our children’s mouths. As I was contemplating what I was going to write I heard these words. What could it be?

As I have mentioned Ty has been battling a horrible flu these past few weeks. Well I guess all that medicine has done a number on my baby’s little tummy. So, this brings me to my trouble and point. Ty has been potty trained since before two. He was so easy, I simply pulled down his pants outside while we were in the pool and KABOOM, he was trained. What can I say we all know boys love to pee on things! Mt problem now is that he is 3 and still refuses to do #2 in the toilet!

The kid will hold it until he gets home, talking about control. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind my son is extremely stubborn!

Is it stitched into a man’s DNA, not to be able to hit the bowl?

Now Ty has been potty trained going on two and half years and I don’t know what else to do to make this kid actually hit the bowl! I mean come on I just cleaned the bathroom yesterday and I already smell urine. So this brings me to a funny happening about two months ago.

I had asked my brother and my father, “Can you take Ty in the bathroom next time you go and show him how to aim?”

I didn’t think it was a weird question, but the terror and humiliation that crossed my 19 year old brothers face was enough not to need an answer. My dad didn’t have anything to say either! My mom did! She said” When you figure out how to teach Ty, tell me so I can tell your father and your brother!” So know, the whole family is pink in the face because the Lady from Chili’s is still standing there waiting to take our drink order.

What to do about the Flu!

Yes, Ty has the Flu! I have thoroughly enjoyed the late night coughs, screams, and the ups and downs of Gatorade.

So raising Ty as a single parent with little to no help in any which means, I have always been proud of myself that I have made the means not to depended on the state in really in which way. I have a lot of “State Baby” friends. They get so much for free, take advantage of what ever means are available and that is not me. I stand on my own two feet. Ok I need my hands sometimes too!

Every state is different in the amount and how one can receive aid. When I first had Ty, yes I had help from the state, when he was three months they booted me out like old fish. Would you believe they even had the nerve to tell me to have another baby so that I could get benefits? Yeah! Let’s build the economic backbone of our country one “state baby” at a time.

Let me give you a for instance, one of my friends, state babies totaling 4 gets 800 in food among so much more. Another, state babies only totaling two, pays a rent of 200 dollars for a 3/2 while the state picks up the rest. Free daycare, Food Stamps, Rent assistance, Free Insurance! How about get a job and stop having babies as a way to live. Let’s just say taking advantage of a situation is not my thing! It makes me very angry and this will not be the first time you hear about this. They just started this new thing that every time a “state baby” is taken to the doctors they now receive a 20 dollar credit at CVS for anything they may need. I mean what do they think people will do with this, make sure they get their kids shots once a year or take them to the doctors every month?

Back to the point, the only state aid I had was a cheap insurance which I paid for but most state babies receive for free. As of 2/23/9 I received a letter by mail that they had dropped Ty from his insurance as of 1/31/2009. Thanks for the warning!

Luckily, my boss was able to get him in on our insurance just barely missing the deadline of one month from the drop in enough time for him to get the Flu!

My thing is how can they allow a baby, to be without insurance? Don’t get me wrong I am all about taking are of the kids, but at no means of it taking care of the parents.

So my weekend started with a bang! At lease I am getting some writing time in and my feelings out.

Three days into the flu, Ty is now feeling a little better. As we speak he is jumping off the couch and rolling on the ground like he is a Gi-Joe. Bath Time!
